NEPSE declines by 14.29 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has dropped by 14.29 points to reach 1864.40 on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.

The prices of 193 companies fell in the stock market, while only 38 companies increased and 7 Company’s prices remained stable today.

Apart from the index, the turnover also decreased on Tuesday. Shares worth 694.2 million rupees were traded on Monday, however, it got reduced to 57 1.4 million rupees today.

The indicators of all sub-groups decreased in the market. The banking group went down by 8, development bank by 31, finance by 13, hotel and tourism by 25, hydropower by 15, life insurance by 143, manufacturing by 31, microfinance by 29, non-life insurance by 58, others by 3, and business sub-group by 8 points today.

The price of Mahuli microfinance increased the most by 6 percent. The value of Hathaway Investments increased by 3.4%, CYC Microfinance by 3.4%, Kisan Microfinance by 2.7% and All Microfinance by 2.7%.

On this day too, the price of Sonapur cement fell the most by 10 percent. The price of the company has fallen to Rs 255 per share. Similarly, Mero Microfinance saw a decline of 4.4%, BPW Microfinance 4.3%, and Menchiam Hydropower 4.2%.

Suryajyoti Life, Standard Chartered Bank, Nabil Bank, Siddharth Bank (founder), and Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company were ahead in terms of turnover.
