NOC raises prices of petroleum products

KATHMANDU: The government has increased the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene, and cooking gas in Nepal.

The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) announced on Thursday that the new prices will come into effect starting Friday morning.

As per the latest adjustment by NOC, the cost of petrol will see an increase of Rs 4 per liter, while both diesel and kerosene oil will see an uptick of Rs 3 per liter.

Similarly, the price of cooking gas will also experience a surge of Rs. 235 per cylinder.

Following the revision, a liter of petrol will now be priced at Rs 182 in Kathmandu.

Correspondingly, the rates for diesel and kerosene will be set at Rs 170 per liter. Additionally, consumers can expect a cylinder of cooking gas to be priced at Rs 1,895.

These adjustments reflect the changing dynamics in the global petroleum market and are expected to support the sustainability of petroleum supplies within Nepal.
