Karnali province government building liquid nitrogen plant



KARNALI: The Karnali provincial government is to establish a liquid nitrogen plant.

The process of constructing the plant is forwarded under the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives’ approved programme for the fiscal year 2023/24.

The provincial government has allocated Rs 25 million for this purpose, Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Bhim Prakash Sharma said.

“We have conducted a field study of the liquid nitrogen plant set up by the Sudurpaschim provincial government at Geta, Kailali on Wednesday. We will go to India for a study of the same and will expedite the works related to building and operation of the plant in Karnali immediately after this,” he said.

A team from the Agriculture Ministry including Minister Sharma held discussions with the Agriculture Minister of the Sudurpaschim province government, Kailash Chaudhary, regarding coordination, collaboration, learnings and practicalities of establishing the nitrogen plant.
