Two ministers from Janamat party resign from ministerial roles in Madhes



JANAKPURDHAM: Janamat Party’s Minister without portfolio Basant Kushwaha and state minister Sanjay Kumar Yadav resigned from the cabinet on Monday.

According to Janamat Party sources, the ministers resigned as per the party’s instructions.

Earlier, Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav had relieved Kushwaha and Yadav from their ministerial responsibilities on May 23. Kushwaha was in the post of the Minister for Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives then.

In place of both of them, the Janamat Party has prepared to send Chandan Singh, chief whip of the Madhes province to the role of Minister, and Manju Khang as the state minister.

A Janamat Party leader informed that Singh and Khang will be given the responsibility of the Ministry of Labor and Transport.

According to that leader, there are plans to appoint both of them as ministers today.

Both will be appointed to ministerial roles on Monday afternoon, the leader said.
