Defense Minister Khadka picked as acting Prime Minister



KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Purna Bahadur Khadka has been appointed as the acting Prime Minister during Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s India visit to start on Wednesday.

Defense Minister Khadka is second in rank in PM Dahal’s cabinet.

PM Dahal is visiting India at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

President Ramchandra Paudel assigned the responsibility of Prime Minister to Khadka at PM Dahal’s recommendation.
