KATHMANDU: Newly-appointed ministers took the oath of office and secrecy today.

President Ram Chandra Paudel administered the oath to the newly-appointed ministers amid a special program at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas on Friday afternoon.

Nepali Congress leader Purna Bahadur Khadka has been appointed as the Defense Minister along with the Deputy Prime Minister.

Similarly, Narayankaji Shrestha, leader of Maoist Center, has been appointed as the Home Minister.

Beduram Bhusal of the Unified Socialist Party has been appointed as the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock.

Janata Samajwadi Party leader Ashok Kumar Rai has been appointed as the Minister of Education.

Loktantrik Samajwadi Party leader Sarat Singh Bhandari has been appointed as the Labor Minister, and Nepali Congress leader Prakash Sharan Mahat has been appointed as the Finance Minister.

Similarly, Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairman Mahindra Rai Yadav has been appointed as the Minister for Women and Children; and Maoist leader Shakti Bahadur Basnet has been appointed as the Energy Minister.

Similarly, Rekha Sharma of Maoist is already the Minister of Communications; Maoist leader Sudan Kirati is the Minister of Culture.

Likewise, Amanlal Modi of Maoist Center is the Minister of Federal Affairs; Unified Socialist leader Prakash Jwala has been appointed as Minister of Physical Affairs; and Ranjita Shrestha of Nagarik Unmukti Party has been appointed as Minister of Land Management.

Similarly, Ramesh Rijal of Nepai Congress has been appointed as the Minister of Industry; and Sita Gurung as Minister of Urban Development.

Likewise, Maoist leader Sushila Sirpali has been appointed as Minister of State for Culture.
