KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that he will not make anyone Home Minister unless he receives a full text of Supreme Court (SC) verdict on Rastriya Swatantra Party chairman Rabi Lamichhane related case is made public.

Prime Minister Dahal, who is also the chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center, gave the briefing about the latest political development in the country at the office bearers’ meeting held at the party’s central office Parisdanda, Kathmandu on Tuesday.

According to Maoist Center spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the participants of the meeting opined that the Prime Minister should hold the Home Ministry to himself.

Prime Minister Dahal is holding the Home Ministry after Lamichhane’s resignation.

The Maoist Center chairman assured that the party would retain Home Ministry till the details of the SC verdict on RSP chair Lamichhane’s citizenship related dispute are made public.

In the meantime, RSP has been taking the position that it should get the Home Minister.

Earlier, RSP chair Lamichhane had met PM Dahal on Tuesday morning and urged him (Dahal) to re-assign the Home Ministry to  RSP.
