KATHMANDU: The country is currently experiencing the effects of the prevailing westerly winds and a low-pressure system in the Rajasthan region of India.
Consequently, a noticeable drop in temperatures is being felt, the Weather Forecasting Division has said.
The Division has reported clear weather conditions in various hilly areas, including Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and other regions.
Later this afternoon, partial to normal rainfall is anticipated in the remaining hilly areas, including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
Moreover, there is a likelihood of light rain in specific locations within the hilly regions, such as Bagmati, Lumbini, and Gandaki.
Additionally, some high hills and Himalayan areas may witness light snowfall.
The Division further suggested a potential for light snowfall in certain high hills and Himalayan areas within Koshi and Gandaki provinces tonight.
