ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Qualifiers begins today

KATHMANDU: The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Asia Qualifier is set to kick off today (Monday), featuring eight teams competing in the qualifiers, which will take place in Kathmandu.

Out of the eight participating teams, the top two will secure qualification for the T20 World Cup to be held in America and the West Indies next year.

The qualifiers will feature two groups, with matches being held at the Mulpani Cricket Ground and TU Cricket Ground.

Nepal finds itself in Group A, alongside Singapore, Oman, and Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Group B comprises UAE, Bahrain, Hong Kong, and Kuwait. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, and the winners of the semi-final matches will earn their spot in the World Cup.

Nepal’s Match Schedule:

Nepal vs Singapore – October 30 at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, 9 am
Nepal vs Malaysia – October 31 at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, 1:15 pm
Nepal vs Oman – November 2 at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, 9 am
Semi-Final 1 (TU Cricket Ground, ) and Semi-Final 2 (Mulpani Cricket Ground) – November 3 at 11 am
Final – November 5 at TU Cricket Ground, 11 am
