Two more arrested for burning UML flag in Dang



DANG: Police have arrested two more individuals on the charge of burning a flag bearing the election symbol of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) in Tulsipur, Dang.

The incident took place at Birendra Chowk in Tulsipur–5.

According to the District Police Office, Dang, those arrested are 30-year-old Ramesh Rana Magar of Tulsipur–4, Halwar, and 24-year-old Bikram Pariyar of Tulsipur–6, Gaidar.

Earlier, police had arrested Buddhi Bahadur Basnet of the same area in connection with the case.

Police said a search is ongoing for others allegedly involved in the incident. Further investigation is underway against all three detainees.

The flag-burning incident occurred at around 9:30 pm on Thursday, when a group of individuals chanting slogans in favor of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) set fire to a UML flag bearing the party’s election symbol at Birendra Chowk.
