Ensure effective market monitoring: DPM Khadka

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka has directed the concerned officials to carry out market monitoring effectively so that exorbitant price hikes and black marketing would be controlled.

Acting PM Khadka viewed people were complaining about the abnormal price hike of daily essential goods.

He held a meeting with concerned authorities, including Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, and Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supply Ramesh Rijal, among others.

DPM Khadka urged the bodies concerned not to allow a shortage of daily essentials.

Stating that the federal government was ready to provide further support to make the ongoing market monitoring further effective, he suggested to the concerned officials that market monitoring could also in coordination with provincial and local governments.
