Three people die after rolling stone strikes moving jeep in Palpa



PALPA: Tragedy struck in Palpa’s Ribdikot on Wednesday as a rolling stone hit a moving jeep, resulting in the loss of three lives.

Five passengers sustained injuries in the incident, according to local authorities.

Om Prasad Pokhrel, the Ward Chairman of Ribdikot Rural Municipality-2, stated that the incident occurred when a rock descended onto a jeep bearing license plate Lu 1 J 4600.

The jeep was en route from Gulmi’s headquarters, Tamghas, to Butwal.

Pokhrel stated that the incident transpired at a location where road expansion efforts were actively underway.

The wounded passengers have since been transported to Palpa Mission Hospital for medical treatment.
