DHANGADHI: The Samajwadi Morcha (Socialist Front), a loose alliance of Nepal’s four left-inclined political parties, is set to hold a “message assembly” in Dhangadhi today.
The event will feature addresses from Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and other top leaders of the Morcha, all scheduled to speak at the assembly in Dhangadhi of the Sudurpaschim Province.
Madhav Kumar Nepal, the Chairman of the Unified Socialist Party; Netra Biram Chand “Biplav,” the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal; and Govinda Chaudhary, who is in charge of the Janata Samajwadi Party of Sudurpaschim Province, are also slated to address the meeting.
On the preceding Tuesday, the Front held a similar assembly in Lumbini Province.
The Front has also slated meetings in Surkhet on August 31, in Pokhara on September 1, in Hetauda on September 9, and in Biratnagar on September 11.
The Samajwadi Morcha is composed of the Janata Samajwadi Party, United Socialist Party, and the Biplav-led Nepal Communist Party, with the Maoist Center holding the leadership position within the government.
