Unified Socialist postpones key meetings indefinitely

KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist Party announced that all meetings scheduled to be held from August 1 have been postponed.

This decision affects the meetings of the Standing Committee, Politburo, and Central Committee (CC).

Jagannath Khatiwada, the Deputy General Secretary and Spokesperson of the party, cited inadequate preparations as the reason for the postponement.

The party’s Secretariat meeting, which recently concluded, had previously decided to convene the Standing Committee, Politburo, and Central Committee meetings on specific dates.

As per the initial plan, the party’s Standing Committee meeting was set to take place on August 1 and 2, the Politburo meeting on August 3 and 4, and the Central Committee meeting on August 5 and 6.

However, due to the lack of readiness, these meetings will not be held as scheduled.
