Two killed, one injured in Sindhuli car accident



KATHMANDU: Two people died on the spot and another person was injured in a road accident that took place in Kamalamai Municipality-3 of Sindhuli this morning. The road accident involving a passenger car (Ba. 8 Cha. 9135) took place on the BP highway near a place called Pipalbhanjyang.

The driver of the car Kumar Puri, 43, of Charpane, Jhapa and Sahara Prasain, 38, currently living in Gaurighat, Kathmandu died on the spot in the accident, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Sindhuli, Chiranjeevi Dahal.

Likewise, 33-year-old Yogendra Thapa of Pyuthan Municipality-8, Pyuthan, who was seriously injured, has been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment, DSP Dahal said.

The accident reportedly took place after the driver lost control of the car and fell 20 meters down the hill on the left side of the road.
