Maoist Center calls SC meeting on Wednesday



KATHMANDU: The ruling CPN-Maoist Center has called the standing committee meeting of the party on Wednesday.

Speaking to the reporters in party’s central office at Parisdanda, Kathmandu, the Party spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara informed that the office bearers meeting held on Monday decided to hold SC meeting on Wednesday.

“The Office Bearers’ meeting held today decided to call the SC meeting after enough internal preparations; accordingly, the SC meeting has been called for Wednesday,” spokesperson Mahara said.

According to him, the allocation of Home Minister will be discussed in the SC meeting on Wednesday.

After the then Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane was relieved of his post citing Supreme Court nullified his status of lawmaker, the post of Home Minister is lying vacant.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has also been handling the responsibility of the Home Ministry.
