Malaysian companies summons 64 Nepali nationals stranded by COVID-19 for salary settlement

KATHMANDU: Two Malaysian companies, Entities Technocom System Sdn. Bhd. / Pintarmas Sdn. Bhd., operating under a Malaysian Venture Group, have issued a summons for 64 Nepali nationals who returned to Nepal due to the COVID-19 pandemic to collect their pending salaries.

These 64 individuals, employed by the companies since 2014, were unable to return to Malaysia due to the pandemic-induced disruptions.

The companies have cited challenges in reaching out to these employees, leading to delays in salary disbursement.

Seeking assistance from the Department of Foreign Employment, the companies have urged the affected individuals to provide their current passport number, contact number, current address, and a bank account number for a smooth settlement process.
