One killed in wild tusker attack in Jhapa

JHAPA: A person died in an encounter with a wild elephant in Jhapa last night.

Meghraj Rai of Shivasatakshi Municipality-11 has been identified as the victim, according to information provided by the District Police Office Jhapa.

The incident occurred last night when Rai fell victim to the elephant’s aggression, leading to his demise.

His lifeless body was discovered approximately 50 meters from his residence.

The wild elephant also wreaked havoc on Rai’s home, leaving destruction in its wake.

Local authorities have reported that Rai’s body was transported to Damak Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
