Around 1,000 people benefit from Kalikot health camps



MANMA, KALIKOT: Nine hundred seventy people were benefitted from integrated public health campaign and the specialist health campaign launched at Pachaljharana rural municipality of Kalikot district.

The two-day free health camp (November 27 and 28) was organised by District Public Health Service Office, Kalikot, with the coordination of Pachaljharana rural municipality.

Out of 970 people, 685 were women and 285 men. Chief at the District Public Health Service Office, Katak Bahadur Mahat, shared that different types of health services, including dental, oral, gynecological, ophthalmic and ECG, were provided during the camp. Sample for tuberculosis test and leprosy was also collected in the health camp.

Similarly, psychosocial counselling was also imparted and medicines provided free of cost.

Teams from Karnali Academy of Health Science, Jumla; District Hospital, Kalikot; and District Eye Care Centre, Kalikot provided the health services.
