Rastriya Swatantra Party picks Dr. Swarnim Wagle as Vice Chairman

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has nominated Dr. Swarnim Wagle as its Vice Chairman.

The decision was made during a central committee meeting held at Jaleshwar in Mahottari.

The meeting, conducted in accordance with the party’s convention process and the new organizational structure, resulted in the formation of the party secretariat, as announced by spokesperson Dr. Mukul Dhakal.

Dr. Wagle, now a central member of the party, has secured the third-ranking position in the Central Committee.

This places him below Chairman Rabi Lamichhane and Deputy Chairman DP Aryal.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Swarnim Wagle was previously affiliated with the Nepali Congress.

Following his failure to secure a ticket in the last federal election, he joined the RSP and contested in the by-elections, emerging victorious as a Member of the House of Representatives from Tanahun-1 in the polls.
