KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), Nepal has said it would continue the three-month campaign of party reconstitution. The party’s campaign was concluded last month.

Although the campaign’s deadline has not been extended formally, it would continue informally, said Purna Basnet, head of the party’s central publicity and publication department.

“A meeting has not been decided yet as party’s chair Upendra Yadav is outside the Kathmandu Valley. The meeting will be called after his return to Kathmandu and the campaign’s deadline extended,” he said.

JSP launched the three-month campaign to reconstitute the party as per the party’s new statute that was issued recently.

Under the campaign, party’s provincial, national, district and local level committees were reconstituted, he said. According to him, all six provincial committees except in Madhes Province and the national committee have been reorganized.

After the meeting of the executive committee of the party and the extension of the campaign deadline, the formation and reconstitution of the party organization would be sped up, he said.
