KATHMANDU: In a collaborative effort, the Nepal Government, along with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the World Bank, conducted a Joint Tripartite Portfolio Review Meeting to assess project advancement.
Chaired by Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat and Finance Secretary Krishna Hari Pushkar, the meeting gathered representatives from Nepal’s government, ADB, and the World Bank. Participants shared project updates and discussed key challenges.
Minister Mahat expressed gratitude for ADB and the World Bank’s support and stressed the need for interdepartmental coordination to expedite project tasks. ADB Officer-in-Charge Arnaud Heckmann highlighted timely project implementation’s importance. World Bank Country Director Faris Hadad-Zervos praised Nepal’s efforts to expedite project implementation.
Key stakeholders, including relevant ministries, ADB, and the World Bank, agreed on actions to overcome challenges and expedite project implementation.
ADB continues its mission to foster prosperity, inclusivity, and sustainability in Asia and the Pacific. Established in 1966, ADB has 68 member nations, with 49 from the region.
