One succumbs to dengue fever

KANCHANPUR: Hikmat Khatri, 28, from Pachui of Belauri Municipality-8 in the district died of dengue infection last night.

Ward No 8 Chairman of Belauri, Bisham Ram Rana, informed that Khatri breathed his last during treatment at Nova Hospital of Dhangadhi in Kailali.

Khatri who had come home from India last week witnessed a severe fever and was admitted to the hospital.

It is not ascertained whether he had dengue before returning home, Chairman Rana informed.

Rana has urged all people in the municipality to be involved in the search and destroy campaign against dengue-transmitting mosquito.
