Govt will take action against anyone involved in gold smuggling: NC leader Sharma

RAMPUR: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma said the government would bring to book anyone involved in the gold smuggling.

Speaking at a program in Palpa, Sharma viewed Nepali Congress would not be an obstruction at all in bringing to book anyone involved in the gold smuggling.

People involved in the scam irrespective of the post, and position would be investigated thoroughly by the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police, he said, adding that further investigation would be carried out by forming a study team.

The study team would divulge multiple sides of gold smuggling, according to him.

Moreover, the General Secretary made it clear that neither the party nor the government protects anyone acting against law.

All political parties need to stand together to wipe out corruption and irregularities in the country.
