Govt relaxes restriction on land plotting



KATHMANDU: The government has relaxed the restrictions enforced on the land plotting.

Unveiling the budget for the fiscal year 2023/24 at the Federal Parliament on Monday, Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat announced that the restriction imposed on the plotting of lands has been removed.

The land plotting had been stopped for some time.

The Finance Minister stated that there will be a mechanism to make the land classification more systematic. He said that the local levels will be empowered accordingly.

Minister Mahat further said that he will encourage the use of paper and cloth bags as a plan to revive the ailing economy of the country.
