Nepal sees 51 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 51 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Of the confirmed cases, 22 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 29 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,238 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 205 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,033 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 361 active cases in the country as 35 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbed to 12,030 to date.
