Nepal records 24 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, active cases 78

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded 24 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Out of the confirmed cases 15 were tested through RT-PCR method and nine through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,429 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of them 320 swabs were tested through RT-PCR method and 1,109 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 78 active cases in the country as three infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,020 to date.
