Govt announces reduction of 68 posts in Prime Minister’s Office



KATHMANDU: In a recent development, the government has taken a decision to eliminate 68 positions within the Prime Minister’s Office.

This decision was made during a Cabinet meeting held on Thursday, as disclosed by Rekha Sharma, Minister for Communication and Information Technology.

As a result of this decision, the vacated posts will be redistributed and integrated into other Ministries.

The move is seen as part of an administrative restructuring effort aimed at optimizing government resources and streamlining the workforce distribution across various departments.
