Gold price hits record high

KATHMANDU: On Tuesday, the price of gold soared to an all-time high in the Nepali market, marking a significant milestone.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the current trading value for the precious metal is Rs 117,700 per tola in the domestic market.

Moreover, the price for standard gold is reported at Rs 117,150 per tola. This surge in prices is noteworthy as it reflects an increase of Rs 300 per tola compared to Monday when the prices stood at Rs 117,400 for fine gold and Rs 116,850 for standard gold.

In contrast, the price of silver has remained unchanged today, holding steady at Rs 1,500 per tola. It’s important to note that a tola is equivalent to 11.66 grams.
