KATHMANDU: Chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane has questioned President Ram Chandra Paudel’s recent actions expressing serious doubts about his role.

Lamichhane emphasized that an independent President would not have endorsed the release of gangsters and criminals nurtured by their political party.

Lamichhane argued, “Once again, another criminal remains unpunished, and it appears that one criminal shields another by claiming, ‘I’ve only committed a crime because he forced me.”

He further said, “The political party stands behind this. Whether it’s the Constitution or Republic Day, it doesn’t matter. Leaders of prominent parties have concealed a list of individuals involved in heinous crimes within their pockets, as our government and president remain aligned.”

Lamichhane further stated that the political parties will present the list to the government and subsequently to the president.

He also outlined their vision for a President unaffiliated with any political party, someone who hasn’t been part of any political entity for at least a decade.

Lamichhane emphasized, “With a President of our envisioned caliber, we can ensure that gangsters and criminals who have been nurtured by political parties are not released.”

“We have voiced our concerns on numerous occasions, but what good is speaking without action? So, we are prepared to address these issues proactively. Contact us at 084 for further information,” he added.
