SC hearings to be scheduled through automation system from today



KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) will commence hearings utilizing an automation system starting today.

Chief Justice (CJ) Bishwombhar Prasad Shrestha, who was recently appointed, had previously announced the implementation of this system in order to address irregularities within the court.

The inauguration of the automated court proceedings system will be carried out by Chief Justice Shrestha, as mentioned by SC spokesperson Bimal Paudel.

Up until yesterday, the allocation of hearings for pending cases in the Supreme Court was conducted through a lottery system.

This traditional approach will now be replaced by a digital system that will determine the sequence of court cases.
