KATHMANDU: Weather conditions have been gradually improving, with a reduced likelihood of heavy rainfall.

According to meteorologist Pratibha Manandhar, there is no expectation of heavy rain in the country over the next three days.

The forecast indicates only light to moderate rainfall for the coming days due to the presence of relatively weak water vapor in the air.

Compared to the weather experienced on Saturday and Sunday, Monday will see improvements.

Meteorologist Manandhar expects continued enhancements in the weather today and tomorrow.

She stated that the eastern part of the country will experience normal to partial changes due to the influence of a low-pressure area forming near Assam, India.

Currently, the Koshi region, Madhesh, and certain areas of the Bagmati region are receiving normal to light rainfall.

During the afternoon, some hilly areas might experience light to moderate rain, while a few locations across the country could see light rain.

In addition, there is a potential for wind and storms in isolated areas of Terai within Koshi Province, Madhesh Province, and Lumbini Province.

Manandhar noted the likelihood of afternoon rain in specific places within the Kathmandu valley.

Nighttime is expected to bring partial to normal showers across the country, with light rain possible in a few locations in the Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Gandaki regions.
