Unified Socialist decides to vote for budget



KATHMANDU: CPN-Unified Socialist has decided to vote in favor of the budget set for FY 2023/24.

According to Rajendra Pandey, the deputy leader of the parliamentary party (PP) of the party, the meeting held on Wednesday decided to vote in favor of the budget presented by Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat.

He clarified that the party opted to support the budget after being assured that its concerns would be addressed soon.

“After getting assured that our concerns on the budget will be addressed, the PP meeting held on Wednesday decided to vote for the budget,” Pandey said.

The Unified Socialist had been protesting against the budget alleging that the resources had been allocated unfairly.
