All payments of current FY no later than July 9: Financial Comptroller



KATHMANDU: The Financial Comptroller General Office has asked all the district treasury controller offices and province treasury controller offices to complete the payments of economic liabilities incurred for the implementation of the annual budget and programs of the current fiscal year by July 9.

Writing to the line agencies in the districts and provinces, the Financial Comptroller General Office has asked them to stop the payments after July 9.

As per the Fiscal Procedures and Financial Accountability Regulations, 2077 BS, entire payments of the current fiscal year should be made a week before the end of the fiscal year and the government accounts should be closed.

Spokesperson of the Financial Comptroller General Office, Shambhu Prasad Marasini, said that concerned offices and the accounts should be accountable if the payments were not made by July 9 and the payments of the current fiscal year should be made in the upcoming year.
