Nepal-India Bilateral T20 Blind Women Cricket Series: Nepal beat India by 9 wickets



KATHMANDU: Nepal beat India in the second of the 2nd Nepal-India Bilateral T20 Blind Women Cricket Series played in Kathmandu on Friday.

After winning the toss and choosing to field at Mulpani Cricket Ground, visiting Indian team presented a huge scare of 214 runs against Nepal.

Captain Susma Patel scored 63 runs, Simu Das scored 46 runs, Vice-captain Gangava Neelappa scored 39 runs, Vasanthi Hansada scored 23 runs and Fulla Siren scored 10 runs for the Indian team.

Nisha Chaudhary took 1 wicket for Nepal while 4 Indian players were run out.

Nepal, who came in counter-batting, won by 9 wickets.

Vinita Pun, the player of the match for Nepal, scored 126 not out in 67 balls. Similarly, Mankeshari Chaudhary hit 65 runs in 56 balls and Muna Aryal remained not out in 4 runs.

With this victory, Nepal is ahead 2/1 in the series of five matches.

Earlier, both India and Nepal won one game each in Pokhara.

The remaining two matches of this series will be played on April 29 and April 30.
