NC President Deuba sents letter to UML Chair Oli urging him to vote for Poudel

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has sent a letter to CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli urging him to vote for NC’s presidential candidate, Ram Chandra Paudel.

NC President Deuba’s letter was sent to Oli the same day UML decided to quit the government and withdraw its support to the Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda-led government.

The UML party quit the government alleging Prime Minister Dahal for not abiding by the December 25 agreement on the issue of the President.

According to the agreement, the Maoist Center had agreed to support UMl’s candidate as the President.

It may be noted that NC’s Ram Chandra Poudel filed his nomination for the post of President with the support of 8 parties on Saturday.

On the other hand, UML’s Sunash Chandra Nemwang has also filed his nomination for the post the same day.
