BIRATNAGAR: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has opined that the presidential election should not be postponed under any circumstances.
Inaugurating the first session of Nepal Press Union Province 1, in Biratnagar, on Saturday, leader Koirala demanded that the presidential election should be held before March 12.
He remarked that it would be unfortunate for the country to postpone the election of the President.
“There is no point for ifs and buts to postpone the presidential election,” the NC leader said, adding, “Everything will be in a mess if the election is postponed for no reasons at all.”
Dr. Koirala also said that if the Speaker and the President belong to the same party, there will be chaos in the country.
