KATHMANDU: The Central Committee meeting of the CPN (Unified Socialist) has commenced, spanning three days with various crucial agendas on the table.
The primary focus of the meeting will be the amendment of the party’s statute and preparations for the upcoming general convention. In a recent secretariat meeting, the party had already reached a consensus to eliminate the age restriction of 70 years. Additionally, the party is gearing up for a national convention scheduled for the next month.
The Central Committee will also engage in discussions concerning the current organizational status, internal disputes, and other contemporary issues within the party. Notably, the meeting will involve deliberations to select candidates for the forthcoming National Assembly election.
