MAHOTTARI: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) commenced a joint meeting involving its parliamentary party and central committee members in Jaleshwar, Mahottari, slated to continue until Wednesday.

Deputy Chairman Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal confirmed the launch of discussions aimed at strategizing the party’s long-term policies during this meeting, signaling the party’s intensified efforts in the Madhes districts. Notably, both the central committee and parliamentarians are actively engaged in this regional initiative.

A comprehensive agenda includes presentations by the Central Discipline Commission, Central Accounts Commission, and political reports from various provinces, alongside meticulous evaluations of the party’s financial status and parliamentary activities.

General Secretary Mukul Dhakal shed light on the forthcoming party conventions, indicating discussions surrounding methods and systems set to unfold during this gathering. Emphasizing the significance of this assembly, he assured that it will outline the party’s roadmap and policy directives.

The RSP is deliberating on a political document, crafted by a three-member working group led by General Secretary Dhakal. This document, devised through a systematic series of discussions and feedback collection from district representatives and MPs, is the focal point of the ongoing sessions. The party previously delegated its central members and MPs to gather public opinions from designated districts during a three-day consultation phase.

Moreover, the RSP recently hosted an intellectually stimulating session centered on the document in Kathmandu. Party leaders underscored the expansion of discussions pertaining to the document as the driving force behind convening this joint meeting in Madhes.
