KATHMANDU: A confrontation broke out between the supporters of Durga Prasain, a medical operator staging a five-day protest in Kathmandu to demand systemic changes, and the police in the Gaushala area of Kathmandu.
Tensions escalated as the protesters occupied the main road in Gaushala, sparking clashes between Prasain’s supporters and law enforcement on Monday.
Prasain has changed the modality of the capital-centered protest he started on November 23 and initiated protest-led by religious gurus on Monday.
