KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has forecasted a notable drop in temperatures nationwide today and tomorrow, accompanied by a likelihood of rain and snowfall.

The morning in Kathmandu Valley witnessed a shift in weather, marked by cloud cover, according to Meteorologist Gobinda Jha.

He stated that Monday and Tuesday carry a significant chance of rain and snow in some parts of the country, particularly in the mountainous region.

Throughout the day, the weather is expected to remain generally clear in most parts of the country, with Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces experiencing partial to normal changes in the hilly areas.

“The possibility of rain and snowfall is comparatively higher today, with a continued likelihood tomorrow,” he said.

Similarly, there is a chance of light to moderate snowfall in specific high-hilly and Himalayan areas of the Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Gandaki regions, with lighter snowfall anticipated in other high-hilly and Himalayan regions.
