Four members of the same family murdered in Mugu

MUGU: Four people belonging to the same family were brutally killed in Chayanath Rara Municipality-6, Mundu village of Mugu.

Police said that an unidentified group used sharp weapons to attack the family in their own home.

The victims were identified as 28-year-old Sridevi Bohora, her 7-month-old son Rahar Bohora, 8-year-old daughter Chita Bohora, and 11-year-old son Manoj Bohora.

The locals discovered the horrifying scene on Friday morning at around 9:30 a.m. and promptly informed the authorities about the gruesome incident.

Upon receiving the distressing news, a team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Thapa from Pina Police Station and District Police Office rushed to the site.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Thapa said that the incident is estimated to have occurred two days prior.

The discovery was made when concerned neighbors found the door locked in the morning, and upon gaining access on Friday at 9 am, they were confronted with the tragic sight of the four victims.

Currently, the police have secured the crime scene and are actively investigating the matter.

Following the necessary procedures, the bodies will be transferred to the district hospital for post-mortem examinations.

Police also suspect robbery as some of the victim’s jewelry was reportedly missing from the scene.

The husband of the deceased woman has been working abroad for the past year.
