Two children drown in river



KAILALI: Two children from Kailali, identified as 6-year-old Dipsan Malla and 7-year-old Ayush Malla of Bardagoria Rural Municipality-6, lost their lives after drowning in the Kanda river.

The area police office Sukhad confirmed the incident.

The children had reportedly gone to take a bath in the river when the incident occurred.

Subsequently, they were discovered submerged in the water and taken to Bardagoria Hospital.

However, Deputy Superintendent of Police Bir Bahadur BK of the area police office Sukhad said that their lives could not be saved despite the immediate efforts.
