Agriculture, forest products serve as Karnali’s prosperity tools: CM Sharma

RUKUM WEST: Chief Minister of Karnali Province Raj Kumar Sharma has stated that agriculture and forest products could serve as the main bases for poverty reduction in Karnali Province.

Chief Minister Sharma argued that these two resources could contribute to ensure prosperity in the province.

Addressing a program in Rukum Paschim, Chief Minister Sharma underscored the need for running agriculture and forest product-based industries to uproot poverty here.

“For this, we are joining hands together with farmers by making geographical clusters. We are drawing framework on the same basis. We will mobilize medicinal herbs, forest products and labour resources of Karnali at once,” the Chief Minister shared.

He also argued that the province government was thinking of ensuring easy financing to the enterprises through micro-lending.
