UML Bagmati Province Convention: Election on Thursday



KATHMANDU: The election program for the Bagmati Province Convention of CPN-UML is set to commence today.

Sources within the UML have confirmed that the voting will take place starting at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday) during the ongoing session at the Nepal Academy in Kamaladi, Kathmandu.

According to the schedule, the final list of voting names will be published at 9 a.m. today, nominations will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the nomination withdrawal period will conclude at 4 p.m., and the final list of nominations will be released at 5 p.m.

Additionally, candidate names will be entered into the electronic voting system at 6 p.m. Voting is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, with a total of 1,174 eligible voters expected to cast their ballots.

An 11-member presiding committee, led by Province In-charge Guru Baral, has been established to oversee the closed session.

Other committee members include Sher Bahadur Tamang, along with Devi Gyawali, Ananda Pokharel, Gokul Baskota, Kamal Chaulagai, Rameshwar Phuyal, Krishna Rai, Sushila Nepal, Parbat Gurung, Arun Nepal, and Ratna Gurung.
