Maoist Center leaders will come under investigation if found involved in corruption cases: PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and CPN-Maoist Center Chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has affirmed a comprehensive investigation into all instances of corruption and irregularities.

During a conversation with a leader from the Nepali Congress Transformation Campaign on Sunday morning, Prime Minister Dahal pledged an unbiased and thorough inquiry into all individuals implicated in any wrongdoing, regardless of their affiliations.

Responding to the implication of Maoist member Krishna Bahadur Mahara and his son in a gold smuggling case, the Prime Minister, who also serves as the Maoist Center chairman, underscored that even leaders within his own party would not be exempt from scrutiny.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Dahal conveyed that he had directed Nepal Police’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) to undertake this matter.

He emphasized that decisive actions would be taken against any individual based solely on verified facts and substantial evidence.
