KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has affirmed that a comprehensive investigation will be conducted into the gold smuggling case, encompassing leaders from various parties, including his own Maoist Center.

During a conversation with a Nepal Congress Transformation Campaign leader, Prime Minister Dahal disclosed his directive to the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) to thoroughly probe all individuals whose names have been linked to the case.

“I have instructed the CIB to launch an investigation into the leaders implicated in the case, based on the available evidence,” stated PM Dahal.

Among those mentioned in relation to the gold smuggling case is Krishna Bahadur Mahara from the Maoist Center.

Prime Minister Dahal emphasized that the CIB should also document Mahara’s statement as part of the investigative process.

In a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Sunday morning, a delegation of nine leaders from the Campaign engaged with PM Dahal.
