DANG: A pedestrian died after being hit by a motorcycle at Lamahi-3 in Dang last night.
The deceased has been identified as Santu Chaudhary,40, of Narti of Deukhuri.
The motorcycle with the registration number plate Ra 4 Pa 5607 hit him, leaving him severely injured, according to District Police Office, Dang Spokesperson Rajan Kumar Gautam.
Chaudhary succumbed to injuries on the way to Lamahi Hospital. Following the accident, the motorcyclist fled the scene abandoning the motorcycle.
Police said they are searching for the motorcyclist.
