MFD forecasts moderate to heavy rainfall today

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has issued a weather warning for today, predicting heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in five provinces of the country.

Rainfall is likely in several provinces, including Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, and Sudur Pashchim Province.

Throughout the day, the weather across the country will be partly to generally cloudy on Thursday.

Moreover, moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in certain areas of Karnali Province and Bagmati Province.

As the day progresses into the night, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy nationwide.

Light to moderate rain is anticipated in hilly regions, with chances of thunder and lightning.

In the rest of the country, there may be light to moderate rain with the possibility of thunder and lightning in a few locations.

Residents in these areas are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions.
