Chinese business tycoon Jack Ma in Nepal on a “business trip”



KATHMANDU: Chinese business tycoon, Jack Ma, also the founder of Alibaba, is in Kathmandu on a “business trip”.

He landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on a special flight on Tuesday afternoon from Bangladesh accompanied by six crew members on his flight, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

Sources claimed that he has made requests to meet with Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat.

It should be noted that Ma is the fourth wealthiest person in China with a net worth of $34.5 billion as of June 2023.

He is also the world’s 39th richest person, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index.
